Risk factors are those that can make a people more likely to develop a condition. This does not mean that having specific risk factors does not necessarily cause a particular disease. But having more than one risk factor will increase the chance of developing the diseases.

Some of the main risk factors of the Rosacea include the following
Gender: Women’s are the major suffer of this rosacea than their counterpart, But men are also more prone to develop the severe rosacea.


Age: Rosacea mainly develops in the age group between 30 and 60. In women, some cases of rosacea seem to occur around the onset of menopause.


Fair Skin: Although rosacea may be seen in any skin color people, but it tends to occur most often in people with fair skin.


Family Members with Rosacea: A tendency to develop rosacea may be inherited. It can often be found in several members of the same family.


Ethnic Background: Although this disorder can occur in any ethnical groups, it has been found that people of English, Scottish, Scandinavian, and Northern or Eastern European ancestry are more affected by these diseases.

• Spicy foods
• Alcohol
• Temperature extremes
• Sunlight
• Stress, anger or embarrassment
• Strenuous exercise
• Hot baths, saunas
• Corticosteroids
• Drugs that dilate blood vessels, including some blood pressure medications
